Through most of the story I felt so sad for Sherlock, knowing what he would wake up to and then the terrible heartbreak visible through the tiny cracks one he wakes up. It's such a lovely ending though and I love imagining their future friendship in this world.

Wonderful story. Simply told and perfect.

Absolutely fantastic. It's lovely how it slowly and naturally pulls away from the mourning you share with Sherlock for the life he's just lost, the one we know and love, and ends with a glimpse of a different but hopeful future.
