Riveting! John's thoughts, are so "logical" - almost calmly thought through - that his mental state is even more horrifically powerful than his original terror.

Aaaaaaah. Well, OK, I'm officially too much of a wuss for this one, it looks like. It's really wonderfully written horror, with that core horror idea of an outside force twisting you to destroy whatever it is you most love, and you wrote from within that shifting perspective beautifully. It's a powerful nightmare, and I can't handle it, which is a real compliment to how effectively it's written. Kudos and best wishes for the rest! :)
