It doesn't seem very important today. But here are some photos I took last week around, over and under the abandoned goods line at Summer Hill.

( All photos are work safe, carbon neutral and have a fresh citrus fragrance )

I always used to wonder, "Where does that line go?" As it was electrified, I didn't think it was a goods line. Or that I'd ever be living in walking distance from it.

i was making an obscure reference to 'stand by me'. the train tracks reminded me of that quote, or perhaps mis-quote.

Yeah technically it's still in use. I think if I remember correctly it sees one regular train movement a week and Pacific National/Freight Corp/NSWGR or what ever you call it these still store wagons at the goods yard at Rozelle ( ... )

To me it looks like the right track may be used, the left is pretty overgrown. I haven't actually seen a train on the line in months.
