But thats Hensons style... And this photo you show is beautiful, which was also the style at the time.
Lewis Carroll took many, many photos of Alice Lidell and it might have been a 'different time', but this photo and many others are disputable and worse than Henson's work ((as they are a bit too suggestive))

Well I do think Lewis Carrol was a bit off his rocker...but that was part of his genius.(?)

The second photo is my favourite, I love that magic realism, and I'll have a try at drawing it as soon as the weather clears enough to get some daylight to draw by!

Haha yeah, I agree - They're great stories though they are also a little suggestive.

Oh nice, show the drawing when done - Only if you like tho :)
You don't get photography like that any more either ((mainly cause the film is better, but people don't seem to stage things like that much any more))

No, I love the staging of that pic. Every nude (and a lot of other portraiture) you see these days looks the same - b&w, semi-dark, boring. That's why I love the vintage photos - the settings, the costumes (where there are any). I have a bunch of others if you'd like me to email them.

I've got a bunch of sketches, collages and paintings I finally feel ready to scan and post when I get a chance, I've been doing a lot of stuff lately.
