Good luck tomorrow. Drink lots of water and try not to boil alive in the heat. :)

Any actual complimentary statements should be taken with a grain of salt initially, and, if genuine, constitute a verbal French kiss.

Awesome analogy. I'm part of the "joking as affection" type too, well probably about half the time. I do believe in straight praise too. Then there are some groups where all you can do is make jabs at your compatriots. That is how my work crew is. If you actually say something nice, you get thrown under the bus within 10 seconds. :)

"Developing Pages for the Web" sounds *hard*. With your background, maybe you should have started with something a little easier. ;)

Thanks. Water must be in the plan. I do so love the heat though. I remember BAKING in the heat and humidity back home in the flatlands and loving it. I used to go for long bike rides in the middle of the day to feel the sun and sweat.

As a group of women only, I find this team's take on interaction to be interesting and familiar yet a bit disconcerting. I'm kind of an emotional giver these days and work on that level, but it can be a relief to pony up to the "check your emotions at the door" bar too.

Totally second what edobrzel is saying there.

From salt to sloppy kiss... nope, can't say I ever saw either on any sports teams I ever joined. *shrug* I just remember lots of belching and farting.

We are pack animals, like it or not. (Although, note for edobrzel: Dennis is a tool.) The power is with those who can shape the pack.

Kick some bootie!!

I asked for details about this softball tourney and I guess there's trophies and plaques and t-shirts and the whole she-bang. Even an all-tournament team.

Yeah. Guess I thought all that went away with high school.

That being said, I shall attempt to kick the bootie.
