NPTB: Casablanca

The Netflix Powers That Be (NPTB) sent me Casablanca over the weekend and I just got around to watching it last night.

I didn't have any particular interest in Casablanca. I thought of it like cinematic high-fiber cereal. Everyone has seen it, it's a classic, and it's good for you! Just watch. So when I got Netflix, I put it in my queue

You know, I actually had the same reaction when I watched the exact same movie.
I always feel uncomfortable watching a Classic for the first time; if I don't really like it, does that mean I'm some sort of cultural deadbeat?

But I found myself drawn in by the story and the acting and everything. Definitely one of my all-time favourites now.

Excellent! Nice to have a compatriot. I think if I saw it again, I'd get more hooked. There were some lines I don't think I got entirely that would benefit from a second viewing.

Check out Some Like it Hot, the original with Marilyn Monroe. It's a good one.
