Sherlock Pimping: Day 1
For those who don't know about this, The BBC recently aired a three 90-minute episode series called Sherlock. It was modern day remake of the Arthur Conan Doyle Classic set in the 21st century, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
And. It. Was. AWESOME.
The first episode, A Study in Pink, airs next Sunday, Oct. 24, in the United States. It'll be on PBS at 8pm central. (Check your local listings. It'll be under 'Masterpiece Theatre' or 'Masterpiece Mystery' or something.)
In response to this upcoming event of eventfulness, I have decided to do a week of Sherlock pimping to spread awareness of the show.
For today's offering, I would like to rec a fanart, and present a ficlet that said-fanart inspired.
Over the next week I will try to post something non-spoilery and pretty at least once a day.
As this is the kick off day, I shall complete my trifecta of fandom by adding a vid rec: Get Your Coat by humansrsuperior It's one of the few completely non-spoilery vids our there, and it is all about The Coat (yes, all caps required), as Sherlock's coat has become known in fandom.
