Vista or XP

I am setting up a dual boot to Windows on my new Mac for the express purpose of PC gaming.  (I use virtual machines for all work/office/VPN stuff).

Should I be going with Windows XP or Windows Vista?  I don't care about Direct X 10 so much as I care about being able to play all games old and new.

I really like Vista 64. Though there are a lot of things i strongly dislike about Vista (mostly around changes to the shell), its bad rap is undeserved. XP feels so cheap now. I play WoW, Dawn of War 2, and a bunch of Valve games on it with no probs.

Win7 is the bees knees apparently, but I've yet to switch using it at work like everyone else has. I bet you'd run into a few game compat issues.

Vista Home 64 installed. ATI graphics card fully recognized and running great. No sound yet. We'll see what I can do about that ...
