Eating at chains or eating local

Eating at Fuddrucker’s Sunday made me think about chain restaurants versus local spots.  Fuddrucker's has great food, but in my opinion a lot of the best food tends be from local places.  Some of my local favorites,

Do you have Valentino's there? I know they are in that area and I miss it. It is a chain but a pretty small one. Yummy pizza and soups

No, we don't have any around here. Did an internet search and found a website and the only locations are in Ames and Council Bluffs. I'll have to try them if I'm ever in either place.
