a) I don't think anybody was offended, sometimes you think too much. :)
b) If you think swimming is boring, you should come over here and try swimming at the sea sometimes...especially when it's windy and the waves are challenging.

Thanks you two. You know me, gotta be all insecure.

I'd really like to swim in the Med. Hopefully when I finally visit.

a) Mashiara is correct.
b) It does people good to be faced with a different perspective once in a while.

Most people feel the need to exercise based on the amount of flab they see in the mirror and it's often the only motivating factor they need.

Although I don't share that problem with you, I can be sympathetic to anyone's demotivational hurdles to fitness.

There's a thread in Entertainment filled with musical picks for the gym, that could help. I once nearly killed myself by listening to Anthrax on the treadmill.

For the pool, maybe some private competition would help. "OK, it's you and me Granny. I'm going to finish this lap before you reach the other side." Just, you know, don't get out of the pool and taunt her that you lapped her 14 times or anything.

Good luck! The more you do it the more you want to do it.
