I just had a 1.5 hour phone conversation with my best girlfriend in NYC. I feel like an idiot for not doing that more. I have enjoyed PJ's music for a long time, particularly To Bring You My Love and Stories From the City Stories from the Sea. Her lyrics have never made a huge impression, it's her voice that gets me. Joni Mitchell's Blue is probably one of top 5 favorite songs. I am all about lyrics, and this song is one that almost always makes me a little weepy (also Lucinda William's Fruits of My Labor, EBTG's Fasnication). So, how have I never heard of this singer? This clip is from 2007, when
she was probably 11 years old or something. She obviously wasn't so much
into engaging the audience with eye contact, but it's pretty perfect.

I also love the lyrics. Very real sentiments.
