Commercial free premier

Just saw a promo on TNT for the January 12th premier and it's being advertised as "Commercial free"! Can only hope that means it contains additional footage. If show is running the full hour with no commercial breaks there would have to be more added to fill the whole hour right!?!?!?

I saw the same one. It was the reason I had TNT on in the background.

I had seen some pics (I don't remember where, and it was back in the spring) of footage from the pilot, and it wasn't in the the version that aired on NBC and online.

I hope it's not the only missing footage because it was... CG Russell and he was with the kidnapped girl's mother. I'd say he was being his creepy self since they looked a little too "close" for my comfort. Then again, any CG with anyone is too close for my comfort!

I'll cross appendages and hope it's unaired Ben material. 14 minutes of detective time might holds no attraction for me.

Thinking positively.... (and I'd really like at least 10 minutes in the next episode, all devoted to the aftermath of the shooting with the follow up for Ben- wish list!)

Yes, my tv rarely leaves TNT these days, although sometimes it is purely background noise as I have seen more episodes of Law and Order these last few weeks than I ever planned to watch!

I remember some unaired Creepy Russell footage too, and that is scary that it may be the added clip! YUCK!

ITA that it's the second episode (and others) that needs additional footage. I am worried that it is too much to hope for though! Can there really be scenes of IA and Dr. Breslow that were just cut from the original S1 airing?

I hope the build up is not just a let down once the episode airs on TNT..but yes, remaining positive!!!

I guess we'll see if there are commercials that bookend the actual show, or it's a full hour. I appreciate the gesture and it shows commitment. I'm also not sure there's any material I'm really anticipating unless there's more to Ben's story that shortened scenes.

What I really want to see comes after this episode, as you mention with IA and the therapist. Maybe there's a scene before he goes to the hospital- or after, but I can't imagine they'd have cut that out. Then again, they didn't include other material I/we thougth was essential.

I could do without another second of CG, but I fear that's at least some of the extra. That will be my commercial!

Positive is the way to go!

Yes, you are right there were many scenes (especially Ben's) that seemed poorly edited and cut short. An additional scene at the hospital would be ideal. I always thought him running into Chickie in the hospital hallway and her non-verbal interaction with Ben was a little off somehow, but it did lead to one of my favorite scenes, that of Ben and Henry's sister ( ... )

I saw that too. They had a few good commericals that I caught last night on TNT. I am looking forward to see what the extra footage they will show is.

It's getting exciting as we get closer to January 12th, and to see TNT so behind this great show is wonderful and what a change from NBC (which no longer exists on my tv).

I'm am a little worried about the build up, as I don't know how much additional footage is really available to add to the existing episodes. But if the pilot is running commercial free there must be something to take up that full hour right? I just hope people don't expect in depth footage of things glossed over in season one like Ben's involvement with Internal Affairs and his non existent therapy sessions! Of course anyone who has already seen season one will definitely be able to appreciate anything extra that we get even if it is just the same scenes but from different camera angles!
