Wow that was fast. No, it doesn't totally complete the prompt. But pretty good for only a couple of paragraphs in such a short time.

For mini-nano this month I decided to write at least 100 words a day. A family emergency sort of shut down a few of my days. So I am a bit sad about that.

But I wanted to write last night. And this prompt was a great one. I'll get around (soon, promise) to an actual fill of the prompt. But it really did make me think. So I had to write it!

Thanks for the ideas! I am loving them. I think I will spend the next few days of mini-nano writing some of them. Even if they are small little ones, again. :)

Even though things turn out better in the end, the medicine cabinet scene is still hard to watch. This captures some of the sadness of it all.

Yes! I don't know if I have watched it recently. But you're probably right, because it is so hard!

It was such a sad scene. But I think necessary. I'm glad that they handled it a bit realistically. You know?

It was more realistic for Michael to have some misgivings. It also led to growth in his character. In the past he had let his friends and family persuade him to stay with David even after it was clear that they were not meant for the long haul. And here he again lets them influence him. But eventually he makes his own decision to go after Ben. But in the meantime, we get this powerful scene.

Yes. I think that Michael's growth it often overlooked. I think it isn't even noticed by many.

By the time the 5th season comes along and he stands up to Brian when he comes to the house late at night? I am so proud of him. :)

I also think that David and Ben both were strong men and were very much a part of why Michael grew up so much.

Their eyes are both so different but both look so sad in the med cabinet mirror. Michael's(or Hal's) eyes are so expressive.

You're right. Hal's eyes are always very expressive. But I was initially very struck by how sad Ben looked. Like he knew. At that exact moment he knew that things had taken at turn. And he could see it all slipping away. :( It always made me so sad!

True. Ben's sad blue eyes are one of the most memorable images of that season.

I know! I keep seeing them now that we are talking about it so much. Heh.

Thanks. I love Ben. I really admire and love him. I don't know what it is about him. But I also find him easy to "find" usually.

One of the best scenes in the series. And the way they let the credits roll with no music was perfect.

It was one of the best scenes. And so...eerily quiet!
