Not much has happened lately.
I have been playing around with various coding projects, and modding Wow, a bit. I have also been playing Wow a bit, but it seems like more of a slog than usual. Maybe I need to do what several people have suggested and join a guild for end-game dungeon/raid content.
Also I rediscovered "Challenge of the Five Realms", a relatively old game I loved as a child. It is amazingly crap. (Although I suppose that's just today's expectations for a game speaking.) This then lead me back to Arcanum, a relatively similar game, although not quite so crap.
I think that the reason Wow has lasted so long with me is that with all other games I (re-)discover, I always get impatient, which leads to cheating, which leads to boredom. With a MMORPG, you can't (reliably) cheat, and so my interest has been held.
One of my housemates has moved out, one is definitely moving out, in about two weeks, and the other is going to find out soon just when he's going to move out. So I'm basically facing having to replace my entire house. Sigh. Oh well, I have one definitely interested, as well as one other coming to look tomorrow. I've also had two flakes, but we won't count them. It has, however, been a week fraught with stress.
I just barely passed one of my units this semester (with a mark of 50), but I did pass everything, so *phew*. The unit I got the 50 on was Electromagnetics and Electromechanics, the Electrical Engineer unit from hell (i.e., the power stream). I guess I know which stream I'm not taking...
Next year I have all random stuff I'm enrolled in, but thankfully no more crappy CS/flake units, or EE/I don't care units.
I guess it just shows how much of a nerd I am, but it's always about this time of year I can't wait for the next year to come around. I'm enthused, damnit!
I also have a beef about CS, and their making me do so many flake units, but giving me a choice of three CS electives, and giving four really good options. Damn the man.
Til later...
