I am done with Once Upon a Time. Maybe The Vampire Diaries too. We'll see how motivated to download I feel on Friday.
As for shows I still like: I FEEL LIKE THIS EPISODE OF THE GOOD WIFE WAS DESIGNED TO SPECIFICALLY CATER TO MY INTERESTS. IT WAS MAGICAL.
- Firstly, what the what? Bryan Brown, why are you on The Good Wife? I am, of course, delighted to see you but how did you get there when you so rarely act outside of Australia - actually, you rarely act at all. On a list of people I never I expected to see on The Good Wife Bryan Brown wouldn't even appear because I wouldn't THINK to connect him in any way with this show. But then, I never would have expected to see Alan Cumming as an American lawyer.
- However they got Bryan Brown, whether they wrote the role with him in mind or their casting director has a wicked good memory and loved him in The Thorn Birds, I can't complain about even the few stereotypical Australian things that were present because Bryan Brown is authentically an Australian stereotype! I know he owns a farm and rides horses and is ruggedly masculine and yet still sensitive enough to be married to his Thord Birds co-star nearly thirty years later. It's ridiculous, it's perfect. And I'm guessing, as well as hoping, that it will be a multi-episode role because it's a long way for him to come for just one episode.
- Plus, it's been a while and Diane deserves it.
- Because how awesome was Diane? Everything from the way she stood by Will, not just as a business partner but as a friend, and the way she broke up the fights between the boys by being right and absolutely having their numbers was perfect. Diane, can I be you? At the least can I have your shoes?
- I love when they do office politics.
- DAVID LEE WEARING THAT!
- Josh Charles' micro-expression when he saw David Lee in costume was stunning. I'm going to try to capture it in .gif form.
- Cary was gorgeous and perfect and he is most definitely a man now. Yay for character growth.
- Will/Law = OTP.
- ELSPETH TASCIONI YOU ARE A DELIGHTFUL WOODLAND SPRITE. IN THE END, YOU WILL BE STANDING ON TOP OF THE BODIES OF EVERYONE ELSE SAYING, "Golly, how did I end up here?"
- Kalinda, so tentative around Alicia. Yay for the continuing thaw.
- And finally, Alicia the conflicted, Alicia the worried, Alicia the sharp as a sword, you don't even know you're falling. But damn, when you feel relieved, I feel relieved.
