Greetings all. It's been quiet around here for the past couple of months because I was away and then I was trying to catch up on all the school work I didn't do while I was away. I've been sneaking onto LJ when I could give myself the chance.
I am mostly caught up on TV and film so lets talk about that.

However I hope that it doesn't force a divorce between Alicia and Peter - I'd like for her to end the marriage on her own terms.I'm more worried about Alicia going back to Peter. A lot of stuff this season seemed intended to nudge her back to him. I guess everything about their old house, as well as Peter coming through for her with regard to his mother, their kids' schooling, that time their daughter was missing, and finally his telling people about their separation. Meanwhile she didn't even want her children to know about Will ( ... )

I'm worried about a reconciliation too. I can definitely see the show going there as they've certainly built the foundation. But I really don't want that! Peter is a compelling character and I generally like him but I think Alicia deserves to be on her own, to be respected for herself, and to work only for her own career and ambitions.
Hart of Dixie is doing a whole lot of things wrong or badly ( ... )

Peter's political career is an important element of the show though, and a couple of characters have told us that he can't run without her. So maybe a Peter/Alicia reunion is a requirement for the story they want to tell ie. Peter's campaign.
I don't disagree with any of your criticisms of HoD. But I suppose I just haven't watched enough of it yet for them to bother me much. I was hoping the show might sell me on Zoe/George in some episode down the line, the way they sold me on Zoe/Wade this week (episode 6, where Zoe's mom shows up).
Using your Hart of Dixie tag I just read that Wade was in Generation Kill!

We've been told of Alicia's value so often that I half suspect her affair with Will will come out and she'll suddenly become poison to his campaign. That would be an interesting turn of events.

He was! He played Q-Tip and did a good job with the role.
