Deficiencies of Japanese......

Oct 22, 2007 12:15

I am going to write about something interesting but yet frustrating which I have found out from my experience over my past 2 years. Bearing in mind that my life is more or less 60% surrounded by Japanese so I guess it gives me every right to write out something like this. It's open for debate but please fuck off from debating about soccer facts if ( Read more... )

Tis fine.

As long as I'm in Japan I'll have the passion to use my mighty gaikokujin balls and take risks by participating in mass orgies.

lol, don't want to disrespect anyone, but I've always thought Japenese were more courageous seeing how they basically dominated End Game and led it for quite some time. I think the problem is, you don't have a figure to represent the bravery they need. America has icon after icon, even WoW online gamer Leroy Jenkins, people say he is crazy, but he just grabbed his balls and went in lol.

Juventus wasn't always like that, I think a general lack of interest in XI and HNM stuff over the years and getting older (having babies/etc) has stopped us from caring to compete.

And if you think of it, most everyone on the linkshell has what they want already.

to me,

Juventus
Japanese Companies
Japanese soccer team

ALL alike.

No passion
No balls to take risk
Too Careful

Tell me...how many JPs firms have excelled over their American counterparts? Even Samsung or LG is soon superceding the Japs in electronics.

You weren't in Juventus when HNMs were something fresh and newly added to the game. Back then, the linkshell people had goals and did things such as pulling Nidhogg with 3 people and then defeating it with 7 (though this was pre-limited sleep patch).

to an extent yes goals do drives things on in life in work and in game but overall i just find things too similar from my entire observations in sports, work and games.

To me it is their culture to be overly careful in doing things. this is fact, no matter how much pple can try to convince me. Their soccer tells me so, my company tells me so, pple working in jap firms many of them share the same experience. I have worked for an australian company before n the attitude to take risk is way much higher than that of a japanese one. For Juventus i find it is the same disease just as I have seen in other aspect of what I have experience in my life. Yes i may not have experience the pre dominate age of Juventus but as i said before it is also about other aspect of what I have written. Overall i feel it boils down to their culture.

I'm just going to throw this in now that I've actually read what you wrote Ben.

Sheila is right, you weren't around when LS's had goals etc (neither was I - to an extent). Once goals are met and have been on farm status for a while people will generally get bored, now considering Juv has a core group that have been there for what, ~5 years? I'd say they are in fact a lot better than the NA HNM userbase, considering I got bored within a couple of years and most other people quit too they definately have passion.

I don't have anything to say on your other findings but man, I don't think you coming to Japan for a year is going to be good if you keep breaking down their culture and categorising it all into defects, don't be picking no fights over there!

Going Japan to learn is purely a trip to learn their culture and to be exposed to them. Going there to learn their culture and language, I will need to open up and accept some facts and adapt. But adaptation doesn't mean I need to become like them. I brought my heritage to Australia and adapted to Australia but I will never forgo some of my life teachings which are Singaporeanised as well. This is not about picking up fights. These are my observations. If my observation happen once it will be fine move on, but it doesn't sadly. these are 3 observations. 3 on different life fronts. and 3 will not mean coincidences. In science or even in writing thesis, u take occurances and samples to theorise. This is what I am doing on my blog trying to simply discuss on this matter. IT isn't juz about HNM but it is more or less about everything. If people like u or sheila simply look on the pov of just hnm, I don't wanna offend u both, but i feel it is narrow minded. Yes those are generalisation. but to me it is BEFORE generalisation which is why ( ... )
