Ok...I'm not typically much of a Country music listener but tonight I tuned into Nashville Star because my mom told me a few days ago that a girl who was my best friend for a time in elementary school was going to be on it!!  Her name is Melanie Torres and it has probably been something like 9-10 years since I last saw her!!  Man, she's been busy

Also- I forgetting to say how much I like the Joss Whedon quote. Until a few years ago, I have to admit to making fun of my best friend who devoted so much time to Angel (though he never liked Buffy). Now, I think Buffy, Angel, and Firefly were some of the best tv shows on network tv.

And btw, I'm back out of hibernation (though I'm not supposed to be online at work- but they haven't said anything so far!).

Oh, thanks for commenting on the quote! I love Joss to bits, I think he's a total genius. And I was the same way about Buffy/Angel for a long time. I boycotted Buffy for 5 years because I couldn't stand Sarah Michelle Geller and thought Buffy was just silly teenybopper fluff TV. Then I started watching it in syndication and KICKED MYSELF!!! That show was incredible...the characters were so fantastic and well written and fleshed-out. I never cared for Angel as much as I did Buffy but still watched it all just 'cause I adore Joss's work so much! I think Firefly was his masterpiece, though, it's just such a shame FOX had to be such boneheads and not give it the chance it deserved. :(
