As I prepare for bed, inspiration has struck, and I have a question-what is the biggest geeky love you've had that has since fizzled out

For me, it's a lot of anime stuff. I was pretty into in high school and a lot of college, and there are still series that I watch and enjoy, but I've mostly grown tired of the same old tropes and character archetypes.
I'm in fairly good touch with my inner 12-year-old, so I could enjoy Naruto for a while. I eventually gave up on it, as characters that I liked got shunted to the side for characters I didn't. Then they just kept adding characters I didn't give a shit about, and what's more, the action scenes became more and more incomprehensible. (Also, to note, I stopped watching the series years ago, this is the manga that I'm talking about).
For me, it`s feeling compelled to buy useless memorabilia of anime, video games, TV shows, etc. Occasionally it`s fine, but I`m not willing to spend $200 on something anymore. I have bills to pay now.
