So I've been watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer through in order, having never seen more than an ep or two before starting this spree. It's pretty good. I just finished the season 3 episode "The Wish", and I had a bit of a thought in regard to it.

So in this episode, the premise is an alternate history in which Buffy ended up in Cleveland rather than Sunnydale. Sunnydale becomes a hell on earth ruled openly by vampires, and when Buffy shows up in the plot she's a war-weary combat veteran type rather than an intermittently-angsty teen. We can infer, then:

(a) Sunnydale without a Slayer is a well of death and demonry.
(b) Working as Cleveland's Slayer is a much harder task than working as Sunnydale's Slayer.

Given these, just how bad must mainline continuity's Slayerless Cleveland be?
