DDDDDDDDDDDDD: I KNOW. The trailer actually makes me a little excited, but I don't want to be. *got all grumpy with the pretty-boy-stuntcasting* AND I WANTED PAUL MCGILLION INSTEAD OF SIMON PEGG T_T (don't get me wrong, I love him in COMEDY roles, but durrrrrrrrr)
wow, so far everyone agrees that prettyboys have no place in the cast -- I think Chekov was the only boy-band-lookalike hired on the show back in the day, right? (hey hey, they're the Monkees! XP) I do like choosing Zachary Quinto as Spock though ;D. And good call on McGillion, but wouldn't that be too close to his current Stargate Atlantis role? (yeah, yeah, I know... "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an engineer!") Ah well, I love J.J.Abrams' storytelling skills (big Lost fan here), so I'll take a leap of faith and hope it's all for the best. Ya gots ta believe!
That's because Star Trek fans (or anyone specifically looking forward to the movie) are geeks, nerds and dorks. XDDD Those aren't the people who watch those glamour pretty-people-MTV-reality-soaps a lot I guess. XDD But yeah, fucking up Star Trek is like spraypainting the Holy Grail of Sci-Fi o_O; SO THEY BETTER WATCH OUT. I mean nothing against pretty people, but not if that's the ONLY thing they have to offer or totally goes against the looks of the origininal cast XDDD HAHA, that sounded mean. LOLOL @ Chekov. YA THINK? Come on, dudes can't even guess what types are the women's favourites. XDDDD (I remember back at work when one of my colleagues insisted that he totally thought this one employee was really attractive to women, and every female around him went "Uh... NO." XDDDDDDD)
And pshhhhhh, Paul McGillion isn't even on SGA anymore, the SGA PTB felt the need to "off" his character dramatic reasons (they're trainwrecking the show at the moment in case you haven't heard XDD)
Trainwrecking? Nonsense, they're saving it! Who needs a stationary piece of land for everyone to operate from when they can just shoot the whole cast into space? Just look how well it worked out for these guys ;p.
