There are a few places in this world where I feel totally at peace. One is (as cliche as it sounds) on the open road, whenever I happen to be driving cross-country to visit friends or randomly travel -- I always like to take side roads instead of freeways, you end up so far away from anything that the world around you feels pristine and untouched

I LOVE Coronado. I love the Del, and have about a million pictures I've snapped of the place-- I want to paint in, eventually.

I have the same pull for the beach that you do; apparently is mystifies most of my friends, but my whole family feels the urge to go to the water, and I've felt for my whole life that the ocean calls to me, like some huge primordial mother.

Next time I'm in San Diego, shall I give you a call to go to the beach with us? :D

The sea at night is amazing @_@ I really miss any kind of ocean. We used to stay at the Northern Sea a lot when I was a kid, and the weather there is really kind of rough, windy and never really hot, but I miss the ocean. D; I should really move to a city by the ocean later. XD RETIREMENT PLANS, LULZ (except on Mars because mankind will have destroyed Earth by then 8D; )

Oceanfront property might be hard to come by on the red planet. Maybe you'll get lucky and we'll just overflow the oceans with global warming? Then EVERY house will be coastal (from every side, even the top and bottom).
... Hm, I seem to recall a funny cartoon from the web about this. Gotta love this artist, she's pretty talented for a crazy person.

If you want more Coronado goodness, feel free to peruse some of my stash. I usually go there about once a week, it's like ten minutes from my apartment.

About 2 years ago I read about this scenario some German scientists created about global warming/flooding, and it said that in a number of years (forgot how many 8D; not too much though), my city would lay by the ocean! XDDD I was all SQUEEEEEE... that'sprettybadforeveryonewholivedfurthernorth,but SQUEEEEEE XD;
