I've been interning at the high school this semester, and the high school is less than a block and a half away from the Civic Center, so guess where I happened to be when the shit hit the fan?

Thank you for the descriptive overview of the event from your personal experience. It was helpful for me to know where you were and that you are physically all right. It IS an upsetting event and it is completely understandable that you are deeply affected. It may take weeks or months to integrate the feelings that are evoked by it. May I suggest you take care of yourself by doing things that comfort you, while allowing whatever feelings arise to just arise, staying present and noticing them.
