on loss and impending tragedy

this last week has been a trial. to begin, my cousin chad (who is also one of my best friends in the world) calls me as soon as the show is over on saturday night almost in tears. i find out his mother is in the hospital, and the outlook is not so good. so since that night i've been doing everything i can to be by his side in this, his direst

I know how much it hurts to lose someone so close to you. I lost my best friend earlier this year. Ever since then I make it a point to tell the people in which I love the most how much I love them and appreciate them. I love you Ben. Much love.

I know how important having someone with you is in a time like this. I might not know him, but please give him a hug for me. I'll keep him and his mother's well being in my prayers. I'm sure people I was friends with growing up felt the same way when my mom was in the hospital. Everyone was always at my house as a kid.. and times like this show us how mortal we all are.
