My brother's girlfriend gave me a copy of The Game for Christmas. I've been reading it self-consciously on the train, trying to obscure the cover and the spine so it looks like I'm reading any other leather-bound book, e.g. The Holy Bible

I think you should read "the game" and Gavin DeBecker's "the gift of fear" at the same time so you can draw your own conclusions.

I assume you have read "The Gift of Fear" and only a synopsis of "The Game", is that correct?

OK, let's try this again: I am EXTREMELY ANNOYED by your comment, because you are implying that those two books sit on opposite sides of a debate that I can't even identify.

Do you think The Game is a manual on how to become a date rapist? First of all, it's a memoir, not a how-to book. Second, the advice or techniques described in the book are all about learning to be confident and act in a way that is attractive to women
