Well, it’s been awhile since my last update, so this will probably be a long one, sorry dudes.

This weekend was fairly uneventful, mostly relaxing. We don’t have a driver for the weekends, so Thursday and Friday were work (data entry… yay) and then Saturday we went shopping. I really dislike going into Meru town. I feel very unsettled, and kinda ( Read more... )

Today I have sun stroke, but it was so worth it.

Yesterday we had a bit of a fun day; it really didn’t have much to do with our projects, but more to do with Farmers Helping Farmers.

The days are going fast, but everything is no less amazing. Today we went to see the Muchui Women’s Self Help Group. We were greeted with beautiful singing and energetic dancing. It was absolutely amazing. They had us join in on the dancing, I was very bad at it, but it was very fun.

The nest day at Mountain Lodge was just as wonderful. We saw elephants again that night, around 12. They made a lot of noise and were very fun to watch. We had a wonderful breakfast and then headed out; we were expected in Meru for lunch. The drive to Meru was uneventful; we passed the equator, stopped and took pictures. We have been spending the last few days visiting the different projects. We went to Embu yesterday, and I think it will be my favorite city, though I haven’t been to them all yet. Finally, I have an internet connection so I can tell you all of my adventures.

Yesterday we went from Nairobi to Ishmara. Before we left, we went to the Canadian High Commission and met with the ambassador, he was surprisingly young, but very nice.

I got into Kenya last night in the evening. The flight over was long. The worst of which was the 7 hour wait I had in Montreal, or the long line for the bus to terminal 4 in Heathrow, but I survived.
