In English you say the apple never falls far from the tree but I prefer my French version a friend invented: There are no canaries in a crow nest just because my lil family looks way more like a bunch of crows with two of them who wish they could fly but don't even have feathers yet

the cat's probably the best of the bunch and that's saying something: the CAT! ;)

kids, like birds, grow feathers way before they're really ready to leave the nest. it's a phase i'm really not looking forward to.

i think getting lost in the woods is probably part of the whole zen production for you. do it if you need to.

I think that your early 20's is when you really figure things out and learn about yourself. Everyone thinks they know what life is all about in your late teens, and then in your 20's you figure out you were totally wrong. :)
