- Today I purchased a corner of French Roquefort, aged at over 90 days. This particular cheese is aged in limestone caves in a region of France. It is a blue cheese supposedly.
- This cheese comes from the milk of a ewe and the odour was quite offensive! Infact when I opened it up it reminded me of the fields surrounding my town where I grew up in Ireland. Sheep cheese smells like sheep.
- Extremley tangy and far too strong for my tastes. It was also very crumbly with an inconsistent texture, easy to spread in some areas and difficult in others. Once again the French dissapoint me.
