So, I was inadvertently reading a blog post the other day (located at http://thenewadventuresofjuliette.blogspot.com/2009/07/fat-is-fantasist-issue.html, which I am not going to link to, because frankly I want nothing to do with her) ( Read more... )

Yeah, I've kinda got a lot of rage to work out, I suspect :-P

Borrowing words from other languages doesn't particularly bother me, and often I quite like it, barring 1) gross overuse (Japanese fangirls, I am looking at you!), and 2) misspellings. But then, misspellings in general tend to really grind my gears, so there's a possibility that I'm over-reacting :-P

I am amused that while reading this, there is one of those stinky advertisement banners proclaiming "Cut down 3 lbs of your belly every week by using this 1 weird tip."

The next one that loaded on this screen was "What if you could actually regrow more hair?"

Blargh! Damn you, image-obsessed culture!

If by "culture" you mean "medium in which bacteria and other nasties can be easily grown", then...yeah, I think you've got it, right there.

BWAH, you is alive! Hmmm...haven't seen the banner ads, cause o' my ad block program.

Also, I am curious...three pounds...every week...how many weeks is this supposed to go on? I'm not sure I've got that much belly.

Banner ads make me want to find the advertisers and smash their car windows with a baseball bat. Ohhh. Or maybe with like a sledgehammer, except make the end really solid rubber instead of metal, so's I can lift it. *thinks about it for a few minutes, and sighs contentedly* Yeah, that sounds perfect.
