Yeah, there's a reason I don't write poetry: because I'm rather rubbish at it. But here's an odd attempt; henceforth, I shall stick to prose, thanks.

I didn't think this was rubbish at all. I hated poetry in high school but as I get older (and those writing poems that I read get older as well) I seem to "get it" I guess? Well, whatev. Keep posting poems.
