Grey's/Spiderman 3

So, the pilot of Private Practice (as hidden within Grey's Anatomy) was interesting.  Basically, it is Grey's Anatomy, with fewer surgeries, and the characters are older.  Except Piz (or shall I say, Dell-- who, BTW, has a HUGE crush on Francie (or...Naomi, yeah.)  He asked her out...and referenced The Graduate.  OY.  Overall, though, it was pretty ( Read more... )

I completely agree with you about Spidey. I want to like it, and I think I did - I know I was entertained. I just don't know about the quality of the movie. It probably wasn't as good as it could have been. And the dancing...the strut would have been fine if they'd cut the jazz club scene that IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED IT. Also, the actual dancing in that one was retarded ( ... )

I love your in-depth analysis of really shitty media. There aren't enough people who care about what makes bad things bad, let alone what makes bad things entertaining. I think that screenwriting will be a great outlet for you.

In related news, I totally watched the noir part of Smallville again with my dad, and I still totally love it. But what I love even more than dork!Clark or the attention to detail on every scene was that the whole noir interlude, including any information within it, was completely unnecessary. And yet they did it anyway! That's what television is for, man. Awesome.
