When Private Practice debuts this fall, Kate Walsh's character will have a new BFF - Audra McDonald. But...Audra is awesome. Still: FRANCIE!!!!

And yeah, it was really dumb of them to air the pilot before the line-up was final. Plenty of shows have cast changes between the pilot and episode two, but they usually refilm the pilot with the final cast in order to air (see: Smallville, where the unaired pilot had a different lady playing Martha).

Um, yeah.

Case in point: Charmed, in which Laurie Rom played Phoebe in the pilot

Also: Gilmore Girls in which there was a different Sookie and Dean

Oh well.

I don't know why I just had this thought, but wouldn't it be hilarious is Milo was the original Dean?!
