Gah! I'm sorry about your friend.

I'm actually commenting because your dog looks like almost a dead ringer for mine in that picture, minus the white paw! ^^; What type is he?

Hee! That's my girl Ellie-Mae, in her full winter plumage. Summers she gets shaved and ends up looking like a giant squirrel. I was told she's part Belgian Shepard, part Border Collie. Since she's a rescue, I truly have no idea. She's a muttnet, that's all I know for certain.

*hugs*

Ellie-Mae! Awww, what a cute name for a dog. Our dog Nelson is a mutt too; the consensus is part Australian Shepherd, part Rottweiler.

Rescue dogs are the best. =)

Nelson! Awesome name for a dog! Apparently he's a Shepweiler, then. Or a Rottaulian.

I agree whole-heartedly. Rescue dogs rule.

No fun... I remember when we dropped 3K on spinal surgery for one of our kitties, when she fell poorly and paralyzed her hindquarters. But they're your kids, so you do it and you don't look back. And yes, she recovered just fine and is back to terrorizing the entire household, usually at around 3am! (And we wouldn't have it any other way...)

We are cut from the same cloth, you and I. No expense spared in order to keep our kids happy. Which is just as it should be. ;)

Thank you so much Big Guy! I also added that link to my most recent post about Scooter's condition, with a side note that I can take small donations if folk want, too.

::HUGS YOU TIGHT:: you are a wonderful bro-friend.

*hugstight* I have an inkling of what this feels like, and it's the last thing I'd wish on anyone. For people like you and me, our pets ARE our kids. Their health matters just as much as two-legged progeny would. (Not to suggest you gave birth to Scooter or Bishe, mind you.)

This, and much more, is what I'm here for. Full stop. *hugs*

Oh no.... :( You and Mr. Sky have my deepest sympathies and Scooter has my greatest hopes for recovery. I wish I could help, but being a jobless college student means that my figures flow in red ink.... I'm really sorry that I can't help, but I'll see about posting for you guys in my LJ as well.

Thank you very much! Well-wishes alone are wonderful. We're taking Scooter to the Vet who will be operating on him this morning. Thank you for reposting our plea.

How goes college life?
