Thanks. Like nearly everyone else out there, I got issues about Yom Kippur, and it's frequently hard to remember that there's actually validity there under all the mindless self-loathing.

I'm not much for officially sanctioned self-abuse. I abuse myself enough as it is. To me, Yom Kippur should be a quiet time to about the things I need to work on. Sort of a spiritual enema. ('cept not as messy.)

That may not be the official version of the holiday. All I will say is it works for me. This is the path I'm on.
