it's funny. Traditional Kung Fu is also a prime example of this... People have lost the meaning of the whole thing and there are many interpretations which are all equally right.. right?? That is until you start testing... and the ultimate test is... if your idea can withstand a hit. For Kung Fu testing is easy.

For other arts... We've lost the ability to think critically, and have no way of engaging. The media has watered it all down. Amongst all the stupidity blogs, daytime talk show, talk radio... everyone has an opinion. Now it's Twitter, and just like Nortel starts with NO, Twitter starts with Twit....

There have been a number of dystopic stories written with this or a similar theme. Going to extremes to accommodate extreme cases within mainstream society is not a courageous stance; it is the guiltless easy way out. It takes great courage and foresight to provide ways to optimize the value to people to society and of society to people. The trouble is that we often mistake ignorant audacity for well-informed courage.
