"Wedding locks?" I have never heard of this. They are for "good luck" you wrote. Does a couple get one lock or several, please?

That's right. Wedding locks or love padlocks or Love Locks, whatever...
This tradition is popular in Moscow for quite some time as well.
We've got a bridge, across the Vodootvodny Canal, with special iron trees on it for these locks in the center of the city. These trees are completely covered in locks. A lot of young couples go there on their wedding day to lock up their locks. One lock for each couple is enough ))
According their beliefs after locking up a lock their love will be ageless.
Moreover these trees are periodically replaced with new ones. Because of no place for new locks

I am totally surprised and like this tradition :) I have not heard of this tradition from my other Russian friends.
