I never thought I'd hear s.th. like this from Viggo - of all people! I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed!

I still hope somebody misquoted him, took his statements out of context or something like that.. if he really said that, I think I'm through with this guy. :(

Actually, there was a video of an interview from TIFF where he commented about this too, but I don't think it came off as harsh as what this quotes him as saying.

I am also very surprised because of his declarations!
I wonder if they are sentences taking off their context, but, even though they sound very hard!
You are right to be angry, Berenwen!

I really don't know what to make of these declarations. :( I've read other interviews in which he said that before filming Good he had prejudice about Germans but it was a very different tone so i wonder if the journalists have exaggerated things on purpose.

*hugs*

I still hope that the journalist made up these hideous remarks and that he he didn't say something unbalanced like that.

But still - I am shocked and I hope he has them correct it if he was misquoted.
If this is truly what he thinks he is dead to me.

It's hard to know what to think. I can understand your anger at being judged for what others did 60 years ago, but I'm guessing that Viggo, as a child, heard many tales from his father and other relatives about life in German-occupied Denmark. It appears that those stories affected him deeply. Much of my ancestry is German and I have wondered if some of my distant relatives were Nazis, or whether they fought against them.
