I just noticed that I could get the black MacBook - which I have lusted for a long time - with additional 1 GB of RAM (total 2gb) AND the AppleCare package (which is pretty much mandatory, never, ever buy a computer with a warranty of only a year. trust me on this.) for 1300e. Joo, joku yksityishenkilö joka merkkaa sinne jotain niin varmaan toimis, yritykset kai herättää epäilyksiä. Sinänsähän jos joku firma lähettää jotain lahjana niin jää helposti kiinni nykyään, tulli on viisastunut.

(mun isi on tilannut jenkeistä ja japanista leluja ja elektroniikkaa monta kymmentä vuotta, se tietää kaikki mahdolliset kikat tällaisten juttujen varalle.)

Saattaisin ehkä mahdollisesti tuntea jonkun. Tosin luottamuksen on oltava aika suuri molemmin puolin että uskallan laittaa sille huomattavan määrän rahaa tilille :P Mutta kuten sanoin entryssä, ei ihan ole rahaa... Ellen ota lainaa, HMM!

Aa mä kuolen! Olen hankkimassa imacia ja sen sais näemmä jenkeistä just sen 600e halvemmalla...! Byääh.

Mutta sitten siihen ei saa tukea mistään Suomesta... HP:lla ainakin takuu on kyllä voimassa, mutta jos vie sen korjaukseen saattaa joutua odottelemaan kuukausia jotain varaosia Jenkkilöistä.

Apparently it's cheaper in the US because it's manufactured there. BUT! You can't get any sort of support for it in Europe, no warranty, no recovery kits, and probably none of the accessories will work, and you'd have to order all spare parts from the US. Bit of a bitch.

Actually I listed the applecare extended warranty, which upgrades the warranty to a 3 year global one and also 3 year free global phone support. Concerning the accessories, I can see how plugs could be a problem but there are adapters, and DVD region coding is crackable (which I would do anyway, probably). Only annoyance would be the lack of a scandinavian keyboard. But, like I said, I don't have the 1300e :)

What do you mean by ordering spare parts? Usually you don't have to repair stuff yourself, just take it to an apple store / repair shop and they'll fix it - I know some companies (hp, for example) did stuff like send a new cd-drive and tell you to fix it your self, but that's only if your warranty covers spare parts, but not the work. AppleCare says that "Repair service may include onsite, carry-in, and direct mail-in; specific availability of each option depends on product type and location of Apple Authorized Service Provider." so the warranty covers the labour too (onsite would be a repair guy coming to you, carry-in you take it there yourself and mail-in they usually have a courier fetch it).
