Goodbye Denny!
In case you hadn't heard, Denny Doherty of the Mamas and Papas died....he was living in Canada....now Michelle Phillips is the only survior of this special group.....they were one of my favorite groups, very earthy, "make my day" group....Cass Elliot was one of my musical idols, not only for her beautiful voice, but her beautiful person. A-ha Moment
I have come to an A-ha! moment in my life! Tolerance/religion
Remember the Advent calendar we had as a kid? They are becoming popular again...but now, as a pagan, I would like to see someone make one based on a Yule/Winter Solstice type theme. I volunteer once a week at the Winnipeg Humane Society...as a cat cuddler! This means I give all the furbabies that are out in the viewing room attention...sit with them and pet them, brush them, take them into the visitors room and let them stretch their legs, play or just sit with them...there are always lots of kittens under a year old and lots ( Read more... ) -

Remembrance Day
Here in Canada, Nov 11 is known as Remembrance Day - in the US, it is Veterans Day.....this was sent to my by a sister, Celtic Myst - let us all remember everyone, not just the soldiers, but the families, the nurses and doctors, and those who helped get thru all the conflicts at home ( Read more... )
