more subway people watching:

Woman in early 30's well dressed to the point of obviously overcompensating for something, refuses to move for the Subway Breakdancing Kids. They're these two nice kids, one like 12 or 13, the other 17 or 18, who breakdance on the moving subway car for money. Older kid politely asked her to move so they could do they ( Read more... )

"...it would have been less embarassing if he'd actually been trying to piss himself."
LOL. More or less what I would have thought too.

Racisim is no good. People need to just let things go and see beyond race and color. Music is music, food is food, clothes are clothes. Just let it fucking be already.

because (and this is a *shocker*) white people get a bad rap nowadays. Not ok to be racist against anyone EXCEPT white people. In fact, being racist against white people is cool and funny with today's standards. Ever see a black comedian go on and on with horribly biased white remarks (and in some cases make their career off of it cough cough chris rock), but ever see a white comic do it? Nope. That's a career ender if I ever saw one.

Dude that is so fucking true, I HATE it. And technically it's un-PC to even say what you just said. It's why I don't watch anything with Chris Rock in it. It was funny when Richard Pryor was goofing on white people, but now it's just cliche and kind of hurtful. I fucking hate Chris Rock because he's a racist prick, as is Dave Chappelle (but he goofs on black people too), and in my experience black people can be a lot more racist than white people. Back on Hemenway I even walked past a guy on the sidewalk who was talking with his buddies, and the guy stared me down and was like "I don't care WHO it is, or if I even know them or not, I don't like ANY white people." I swear to god.

I just hate it when racism is expected of me because I'm white. I feel like every time I'm walking down the street in Central, at least three people are looking at me as though they're just itching for me to say something out of line, or give THEM a look, so that they can bitch at me. It's a vicious cycle. They're expecting me to be a racist because I'm white, and I get upset with them for making assumptions, and then I start to assume that anyone of another ethnicity who looks at me funny is thinking that I'm a racist. Which means that I begin to think in generalities and stereotypes, in turn making me a racist.
WHAT.
