today we heard the heartbeat! it seems to be in perfect double-time with mine. i dodged the blood draw bullet again (not without throwing up and giving myself high blood pressure first). they are calling me houdini. one more month til we may be able to determine the sex!

I DO! i have now resorted to comandeering my husband's pants because it hurts to button my own.

because it's the day the man who became my husband arrived, 38 yrs ago. happy birthday, my dear. i am ever thankful you exist, and are willing to share that existence with me.

we just got our first baby picture. it looks like a real baby, only 1" long, with a teeny wee little heartbeat.

so, we just got home from 16 days in europe, my first time overseas. with 12 of ken's relatives. i have a lot to say about it. but i'm fucking exhausted, so will suffice for now with saying it would have been a much more enjoyable experience were i not simultaneously contending with being TWO MONTHS PREGNANT. there's a lot to say about that too ( Read more... )

simultaneously teaching oneself to knit in the round, and cableknit, on size 6 double pointed needles, with elasticized yarn, from a book, with no pattern while trying to design fingerless gloves for someone else's hands not my size. at least i'm not using black yarn this time.
