I didn't like that holiday.

Not one bit.

I'm glad that one was lost somewhere in the past. I don't think I could stand it, if that's how things normally go.

Of course you'd say that.

But everyone had such cool outfits! Like there was one guy in a big gorilla costume!

Oh, well, I'm not really a party type.

Did you enjoy yourself?

Would you have enjoyed it without the mandatory party attendance?

Maybe if that costume was different.

They really did like making fun of you guys, didn't they? If it helps, about half of Luceti were dressed far worse.

I guess that helps. I've just never worn something quite so... short before.

It really isn't that bad. Back home anyway.

What is it like in your world?

You dress in costumes, then get candy for visiting your neighbors. School would have a dance or something like that but... definitely nobody got killed or attacked.

Mm, I'd have to agree. That does sound better.

Well, you gotta keep in mind. It's a lot more voluntary than that. Most of our worlds probably don't have pushy robots forcing us into random costumes. When you do it voluntarily and just embrace it for what it is, it's a lot more fun.

So people are telling me. What was it like in your world, then?
