HEY, yeah, so I made this thing, but um, the photos are a bit on the dodgy side. It was for my friend's brithday so it is gone now, but yeah, it was a fun (and at times frustrating) experience.
Thanks! I WILL tell you what it is made out of! It is made mostly of wire and aluminium foil but the key ingredient is this stuff called 'Super Sculpey' which covers it (about half a centimetre thick). It's a kind of polymer clay which is really hard and difficult to work with (unless you have thumbs of steel with which to knead it into submission). And in the end you bake it, anyway, and it goes hard(er). It's just painted with ordinary acrylic paint. In hindsight I probably could have just papier mached it, that would have been cheaper (Super Sculpey is a tad pricey [for poor students like me, anyway]) and probably less hard on my thumbs. But eh, you live and learn. Also it is harder to get papier mache nice and smooth and to put details in and stuff. *sigh* decisions are hard.
I was going to ask the same question, and I am glad to see it has already been answered before I even had the chance. It is like being a king or something similar.
OH Hey, thanks! I didn't measure it but it is about, yay high? Nah, um... say around 15cm high? Maybe 25-30ish from head to tail? I was gonna look at at ruler and make an educated guess but I can't find one, so yeah. Very approximate. OH man, I just realised you're American, hey. You need to embrace the metric system! It makes more sense! But so in like inches, maybe 4 or 5 high, 10 long? Again, no ruler. Not enormous, but not tiny either. I think it was bit big for me though, in the future I will try to work smaller.
