Sunset off... I-75 maybe?
Again, a sunset but I'm not sure where.
Christy at Whataburger!
Germans!! They are future astronauts to be in NASA later on. It was a really big deal, but not as big as when McJagger and Steve Tyler were there.
Hmm... 9 minutes...
Jon and I couldn't wait for them to count down so we took an executive decision. Unfortunately, NASA didn't respond by launching. We got a few laughs from the audience though.
Okay it's REALLY counting down now.
For your information I got a lot more pictures of the actual liftoff but I filtered it to these three...
Almost there...
Liftoff! People are right when they say looking into the flame is like looking into the surface of the sun. The sound also doesn't hit you but 6 seconds after, so it was dead silent and then the shockwave came. It was incredible. You could feel how loud it was. Like four Bazooka Tubes powered by 2 Sony 3000 Watt amps faced directly towards you. Surrounding you. Times ten.
This shows the arc of the flight. The cloud generated is HCl acidic so we had to get out before the acid rain poured down on us. It is yellow and orange in another picture I have - really cool.
Ben, your pictures from the lakehouse is in there.
There are also a couple long-awaited prom pictures.
AND there is a chronicling of the Discovery STS-121 Shuttle Launch. Good stuff.
That's all for now I am just responding to requests for more pictures - I will have the proofs for my senior pictures up soon. They turned out alright too.
