So I have a few choices of what apartments I'm looking at the most.  I've only been to 3 so far, and one has been rules out.  Keep in mind that while some of these prices seem high, that's what I get for living in a big city.

Woodland Estates:
The special I can get here is 1/2 of the first month's rent, and $80 off each month's rent if I sign a 13 ( Read more... )

Out of the two you have been to, I like Lamberton Lake Apartments. you are on what looks like a very pretty lake and while it is a little more expensive and less space than Woodland Estates, the cost of new cell phone service + breaking old cell phone contract might make up for it. Not to mention you still have access to the pools and can play in all their fun activities, which to me would be worth the extra $30 a month. Plus, if you think you can talk the person down to $610/month because the other apartment is bigger for cheaper I say go for it. The worse that will happen is the person will say no. Check out the prices of the other two apartments and the grounds first before any decisions though ( ... )

I'd say the lake front place looks like the best option in terms of comfort, convenience and space...but if you are looking to save up some cash for future places (i don't know how long you plan on living where ever you decide) I would suggest going for a cheaper place, even if there's less space and luxury things. If it's going to be more of a long term thing, I'd definitely go for the nicer places though. I suppose it depends on your future plans and how much $$ you can afford/are prepared to spend....(theres a part of me that says get the big, lake place either way because you deserve a really nice place for once) :)
