Basically I feel like I have this search narrowed down to two apartments.  There are pros and cons to both, so I'll lay it all out so you can all give me your opinions :-D ( Read more... )

My vote is for the first place. Having a dishwasher seriously is one of the best conveniences of my life. My place is also 710 sq. ft. and there's PLENTY of room for one person, and a nice amount of space for two.

The rent doesn't sound like it's too bad (way cheaper than mine ... damn the big city costs), especially for having Ayla. Plus it'll be nice to be closer to James; kind of nice to be a little farther away from siblings I think because while you're still close enough to visit each other and help out, you won't always be getting roped into babysitting because "you're so close."

That's just where I stand. :)

Yeah, you'd think that being all the way across town would deter them from asking me to babysit, but they always call me first over their "kind of" babysitter who lives just up the street. She's only 14 or something though, so i'm not surprised, but it really wouldn't change the number of times they call me

I like Alpine Slopes better. The outside of the building looks cooler, you have a really nice INDOOR pool, and the model apartment looks much nicer than the other model apartment. Plus, you'd have more closets for storage and bigger rooms.

I must admit, I don't approve of your argument on how it is closer to James---I understand it and I know I would probably take that into consideration to if I was considering moving, but it is never a good idea to base a decision around a boy unless you have a ring. ;) But in spite of that argument, I think of the 2, the Alpine one is a better pick. :)

Honestly I agree about the argument, but it really would be annoying after a while and it would save me some money in gas to be closer, but I think in the end I would be paying less per month at windridge, esp since gas is included in rent there and not Alpine. You guys just made it harder because I was leaning toward windridge...

Yes, you would be paying less in rent most likely, however, I personally would shell out more money for more room and a nicer living area. Now if you think that Windridge is a nicer living area than Alpine, you absolutely should take Windridge. But from the picture of the kitchen, it just seemed older and not in as good of condition as Alpine is. Again, my opinion is also based on a picture. You need to do what is best for you. I hope this helps.
