Why is it that no one knows how to react when your mom has cancer? Why does it feel so bad? And why does it seem like I can't talk to anyone

Aww Thank you so much *hug*. It's just this feeling I get from my friends, when I try to talk about it, it seems like they don't want to listen or change topic ay. But O well, maybe its hard for them? But Thank you. We found out bout a couple of weeks ago. My mom has to have both breasts removed. So I dunno its kinda werid. Felt awkward when I wandered into the bra section and she followed. :( But It's just really werid to adjust to it I find.
It may be hard for them, and that's normal. Maybe they don't feel like they can talk to you because it's a touchy subject. But as you learn to live with it, they will too. It's got to be hard!
How it your mom handling it?
give her a big hug for me! My nana (grandma) died of breast cancer because they found it too late and it had already spread. I'm glad your mom found it in time.
Yeah I guess so ay. It probably is hard. Umm yeah I think moms doing alright ay. We're just unsure whether to tell the rest of the family cos my grandma had the same thing. (similar situation as to your nana too) (sorry about ur nana too). She's going alright, the operation is soon (July 25th) so hopefully after that is over, everything will be good ay. Thinking positively lol!
I'm sorry that you had to feel that way. I like to think I can be perceptive to how people feel, but I suppose that's more Mod's style.
I wanted to ask earlier, but I don't know, I guess I've always thought it was something too personal to just casually bring up. I probably got that from my mum seeing as she gets angry at the idea of talking about in family stuff. Also I don't really know when is appropriate, as you said you didn't really want this to be public knowledge.
Anyhow, if you don't mind telling, what's happening now? Like when does she have the operation and what after treatments were prescribed?
And I suppose just randomly, how did your brother take the news? I mean I'd feel pretty sucky if I had to be half way round the world instead of being there as support. =/
