I absolutely loved The Help...............I think Viola Davis got robbed at the Oscars.........and
particularly was appalled by the smug statement by Streep
She won, and her statement about who cares what the public think was indicative of how
much she does NOT understand who pays the bills.........that would be the same who she
said she could care less about their opinion
The rest I have in queue at the the library

I never watch the Oscar ceremony - only check later, on the news, who won.... :) I had no idea that Streep did say something like that! How rude is that!?

How rude is that!?

(((((NODS)))))))It was not only what she said, but how dismissive she was in body language
I tuned in only to see the main awards, all the earlier stuff I could care less about
It is the first time in years I have watched any of it as I think it is all so contrived

I haven't seen any of the movies you recommended, shame on me! I'll be sure to check them out :)

I hated the fact they ended Flash Forward. There was so much left to tell, imo. It seems to be a rule. Crap stays on air, good shows are scrapped :/

Flash Forward is brilliant! Great action with that "Lost" feel to it.... and there's even Dominic Monaghan! My beloved Charlie from Lost - would you believe that I actually stopped watching Lost when Charlie drowned? I think I only watched a few episodes more and then I gave up - right now I feel like watching Lost all over again - right from the beginning....

And of course there's Joseph Fiennes in Flash Forward too.... *sighs*

Yeah... I got to episode 16 and I simply hate the thought that it ends at 22 and I will NEVER get my answers.... *sighs some more*

And I'm sure you'd enjoy watching the rest of the films I mentioned. Good ones. :)

So "The Iron Lady" is a good movie? Okay, have to check that one out :).
About FF ... yeah, it took it's time but it was a good show. I fear I have to say on one side I can live with how they ended the show, on the other side it was surely a loss.

Is the trouble I had again this fast?
Well, I'm doing ... okay. Dealing with a TSV and this damned mystery tooth pain. Friday I have a appointment at the dentist in hope finally (after feeled 100 times at 10 different doctors) he has the answer why I'm in pain since more than half a year. Please keep your fingers crossed for me Friday *trembles*.

Thank you for the recs! I'M a big fan of both Meryl Streep and George Clooney. I'm going to watch these definitely. I

n exchange, I recommend you a movie I've seen last Saturday in Titanic film fest here in Budapest: Parked. You can see its page here at the website of this fest. It was a very poignant and beautiful movie.

Thanks! It does look like a good film - I'll have to watch it. :) I really, really like "wise" films, you know, the ones that make you think.

I agree with you. We need more films like that. I also wanted to watch this movie because of the young actor, who plays Cathal's role: Colin Morgan. He is such a talented young man!
