Thanks to the one and only black_raven135 who always finds the best things.

Wow! That's fascinating and remarkable. And I was a bit offended by YouTube's selection of "more vids" at the end, where maybe half the selections had something to do with The Illuminati - like what this gentleman had just talked about was a kooky conspiracy. I believe this is real and I believe that people/societies are getting to a place where they're being surrounded by a "bubble." That's why I believe it is important to read a book, a newspaper, information not just from the web. But take a look around... Kindle, Nook, Netflix, Hulu, scores of news websites. How long will it be before the physical book/newspaper is gone forever and all of our information/entertainment comes from a source controlled by SOPA/PIPA/CISPA? (now there's your conspiracy)

When I saw it my jaw dropped - I honestly had no idea! And it makes SO much sense now to me.

Either here, on LJ, or on Twitter - I talk to people from basically all over the world and sometimes there's so much confusion... "where did you find it?" "it popped up in google search?" Now I have the answer WHY things like that happen.

Yes, they modify it to "serve my needs" - and they claim that they know better what MY needs may be....

It's yet another form of censorship, isn't it? It scares me - just think where this all is heading.... Yes, SOPA, PIPA, CISPA.... and even our browsers can control us now.

I'm afraid that soon "physical" books and papers will all be replaced by their electronic counterparts.... maybe in the next 10-20 years or so, Or maybe even sooner.....

Oh yes, how very sadly true...

This is the thing I hate about the internet, or to be more precise, what I hate about all the service providers like google and co.... Everywhere you go, you get a preselected website. I hate that they follow my way through the internet and use that to place adds and news and whatnots...

That's why I stay far far away from Facebook, cause I see it as the biggest evil next to google. Sadly I need google, but I can do without Facebook :) Even writing the word Facebook will probably be recorded in my browsing history...

It's SO irritating, isn't it? Just try to look for "cheap hotels in Paris" and you can be certain to get such advertisements literally attacking you everywhere you go.... I think that's what they call "fishing"....

I don't like Facebook either but yes, we can't escape from our browsers.....

Interesting and true.
Well, I have to say, for me it's getting better with the google-account - or I think so. No more blinking banners. Now I have, instead of these, "suggestions" what could be for my interest (true, it's NEVER for my interest but it's better then this advertisements *rolls eyes*). And a funny thing with this suggestions is always, that they use my browser and what I've done online to suggest. Today I answered a survery (I'm member of a official panel) and now the whole day I've suggestions about hair removal, Laptop repairs and hybrid cars. It's kinda funny because that were questions I answered for the panel.
But it's also true, that it's really sad where the internet is going to go. Especially because only a short number of people is aware of this censorship.

And I get such "blinking banners" wherever I go.... whether it's my yahoo mail or YouTube or any other place with popping up ads.... lol

It's just like on Twitter, it's enough to tweet something about car batteries and you get 5 different producers immediately following you.... you say something like; "In the last episode Jack went skiing" and you have 3 skiing equipment manufacturers following you.... and just try saying something like.... "He's got a big penis....." :)

And I totally agree - only very few people do realise the full extent of this new form of censorship.....
