I'm wearing glasses instead of contacts now. I have to do this for at least 2 months. I didn't realize what a luxury wearing contacts was for me. I dislike glasses. I lost my peripheral vision, which is distressing. But, I'm surviving. Because eyes are so incredibly important that I'll do ANYTHING to keep my eyes healthy. And since I've learned ( Read more... )

Happy New Year!

I like that my birthday and New Year's are so close together. Then, I really feel like I can make resolutions, because they are about a particular age in my life, instead of just another year.  So, I can say "in my 24th year, I will......" instead of "in 2006 I resolve to......"

I caught a stomach bug this week and was sick-- truly stay-at home, lie on the couch and stare at the tv or the ceiling sick--for the first time in many months. I needed the break. I'm burnt out. Living alone causes some problems. I get lost in the internet and forget what I wanted to do...like my American History reading. I'm taking a history course online through Berkeley. I spent all day outside, relying on public transportation. It was lovely: so sunny and breezy. I watched a JCUA member/friend pass the 21.4 (I think) mark on the marathon.
